While the meaning of ruqyah in etymology of the Shari'a is a prayer and readings containing requests for help and protection to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to prevent or treat reinforcements and diseases. Sometimes the prayer or reading is accompanied by a puff of mouth to the palms of the hands or members of the body of the meruqyah or the diruqyah. Of course the most important ruqyah is prayer and reading that comes from the Qur'an and as-sunnah
