Shatayu

‘Shatayu’ is derived from ‘Shatayu Bhavah’, a blessing from the ancient Indian scriptures, ‘Live a hundred years’. ‘Shatayu’ is a non profit organization- a public service initiative by Govindbhai C. Patel Foundation, which is supported by Ganesh Housing Corpoation Limited. It was evolved with the twofold objective of increasing awareness about organ donation in India, and broadening the mindset of people towards the gift of life.

For us at ‘Shatayu’, every human being is a blessed one! We wish that all of you could live a hundred years!! Yes, we could die at any age, but we could still be alive, by allowing others to live through us! By giving of ourselves in the highest way possible. It is a harbinger of light, which hopes and plans to dispel all doubts and myths regarding organ and tissue donation, though awareness and educational campaigns. As Albert Einsteinhas aptly said, ‘The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking’. We, at‘Shatayu’, invite you to remove all your misconceptions about organ donation, and allow us to begin with a clean slate.
