Specdrums

Specdrums are app-connected rings that transform color into sound, played wirelessly through this app. The rings are currently available for pre-order at www.specdrums.com/buy, and are currently being shipped out. After any number of rings are connected to the app via Low Energy Bluetooth, samples can be assigned to any colors. These samples include sounds from provided instruments (e.g., electric piano, acoustic guitar, rock drum kit) as well as those you record yourself. There are also pre-determined sample/color schemes that can be selected for quick setup. While playing, you can loop your recordings over one another into a Sloop (Specdrums Loop), which can be exported and sent to friends. The rings can also be connected to GarageBand or other music-making software as a Bluetooth MIDI Device.
