Ammavin Aran,is a one press safety app for women’s safety which helps to locate the nearby police stations and hospitals during times of emergency. The app also has an alarm named whistle which will alert the people,if a woman needs help.

The app Ammavin Aran has been developed by the IT wing of AIADMK as a dedication to Puratchi Thalaivi Amma, the iron lady, who always championed the cause for women.

Ammavin Aran, the women’s safety app has been designed ,based on the guidelines given by AIADMK’s General secretary Respected Chinnamma. The app was launched by the Deputy General Secretary of AIADMK Thiru. TTV. Dhinakaran.

Ammavin Aran, has the following features:

1) Location- This helps to know the place where a person is and with the sharing facility,the details can be sent to near and dear ones.

2) Tips- Safety tips for women is mentioned in this feature.

3) Police- Details of the nearby police station with the contact numbers will be displayed.

4) Hospital- Details of nearby hospitals with the contact numbers will be displayed.

5) Whistle-An alarm sound to alert people around if a person needs a help.

6) Record-Helps to record conversations, during times of emergency, which can be used as a proof.
