Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse (1900-1975) was West Africa’s most renowned Islamic scholar in the twentieth century. His followers numbered in the millions and comprised the largest single Muslim movement in West Africa (Hiskett, 1984).

the Essence of his work and teaching was to spread islam through the love of the prophet of Allah and the knowledge in worshiping Allah

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللّهُ وَيَغْفِرلَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيم

Say, [O Muhammad], “If you truly love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful” [Qur’an, 3:31].

He asked his followers to create and name organisations as Ansarudeen ( the helper of Religion ) , but the helper of religion through peace and love as much of the character of the prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) .

﴿وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـكَ إِلاَّ رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَـلَمِينَ ﴾

And We have sent you not but as a mercy for the world
