Battle Chat is THE app for all Battlelog users out there, letting you chat with your buddies even when you're not by your computer. It requires you to log-in with your Origin account (to access the Battlelog website), but that process itself is completely safe as no sensitive data is being sent anywhere other than Battlelog itself (and that over an encrypted connection).

In other words, the login flow is the same as with a web browser, with the difference being that you're using a cool app instead of a web browser.
