Reader Experience GAP:

From Amazon Kindle to most every ebook publishing platform you have the same old boring reader interface … text, highlighting, notes etc. in a world where everything is getting digitally augmented, gamified, and immersively engaging … ebooks have stayed two dimensional and flat. There is no rich media experience like videos, audios, games, learning, quizzes, interactivity, etc. built into the reading experience … until now!

GappBooks is closing the reader experience GAP and much more by reinventing reading and creating a robust 360 Digital Publishing Ecosystem.

Publishing Platform GAP:

In the digital publishing world there is an unfilled GAP between Amazon Kindle and all other ebook readers.

On one side of the GAP you have Amazon Kindle approaching 50% of all ebook sales and over 80% of all indie ebook sales (published without an ISBN).

The digital publishing world is being consumed by Amazon at the expense of readers, publishers and authors. And not just the whole space but author profits as well ….

Profit GAP:

Amazon Kindle’s pricing structure to qualify for 70% royalties caps the sales price of the book at $9.99. So not only are authors and publishers being forced to a price range that may not work for them, they have to pay a 30% fee to Amazon to be limited in their options.

But that is not even the biggest GAP ….

The Author / Reader GAP:

The biggest GAP for authors is being cut off by either the publisher or the platform from being in relationship with their readers and having access to reader data. Amazon keeps it all. Most publishers keep it all. And the author is left with no audience, no following and no ongoing engagement and relationship with their cherished readers.

And if that was not enough there is a GAP between the eBook reader platform and the rest of the authors publishing ecosystem.
