Link শব্দের সংযোগ স্থাপন করা । Linking Words শব্দের অর্থ দাঁড়ায়- সংযোগ স্থাপনকারী শব্দসমূহ ইংরেজি ভাষার এমন কিছু শব্দ পাওয়া হায় । যেগুলো বাক্যকে এক সাথে সংযুক্ত করে । এ ধরনের শব্দকে Linking Words বলা হয় ।

Linking Words - কে তিনভাগে ভাগ করা যায় । যথা-

1. Co-ordinating Linking Words

2. Sub-ordinating Linking Words

3. Correlative Linking Words

Co-ordinating Linking Words: And, but, or, for, so, nor, yet, etc.

Sub-ordinating Linking Words: So that, if, till, until, etc.

Correlative Linking Words: Not only---but also, Either---or, Neither---nor, In order to etc.
