Vihara Of AuGuang Maitreya

AuGuang Maitreya is a Buddhist association incorporated under the name Buddha Maitreya Wira with the NSW Department of Fair Trading in July 2000. It is the Australian chapter of Indonesian Maitreya Buddhist Assembly, a religious organisation based in Jakarta, Indonesia. In its country of origin, the organisation oversees 6 monasteries and 400 viharas. The monastery that is located in Batam is the largest Buddhist monastery in South East Asia. Indonesian Maitreya Buddhist Assembly is in a turn a diocese of World Maitreya Great Tao, which has its international headquarter in Er-Mei, Taiwan. Chapters of Maitreya Great Tao can be found in over 65 countries around the world
