99 names of Allah - is a list or compilation of Allah's attribute names described in the Quran and Hadith according to Islam. According to Islam, the basic name or original name is the same. And that is Allah, but His attributes are many.

According to various hadiths there is a list of 99 names of Allah. But there is no definite sequential order among them. Hence there is no specific list based on collective consensus. Moreover, according to the description of the Quran and Hadith, the total number of names of Allah is more than 99, about 4,000.

Allah Ta'ala is quoted in the Qur'anic description of these names

Call Allah or Rahman, by whatever name you call, all beautiful names belong to Him. — Surah Bani-Israel verse 110.

It is proved by many hadiths that Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned the good names of Allah. For example, in an authentic hadith, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates the saying of Mr. Muhammad (PBUH) that,

Allah has 99 names; Whoever memorizes them will enter Paradise. Since Allah Ta'ala is odd (that is, He is single, and one is an odd number), He loves odd numbers. And it was narrated by Ibn Umar that (the words are) “Whoever recites them.”
