Durga Saptashati which is also known as Devi Mahatmya & Chandi Path is a Hindu religious text describing the victory of the Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura. It is part of the Markandeya Purana, written by sage Markandeya.

Many of Goddess Durga's devotees will recite some portion of the Durga Saptashati every day of the 9 Divine Nights (Shaardeeya Nav-Ratri ) in order to obtain Her full grace and care.

Durga Saptshati Path also known as Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path is a famous Hindu scripture describing the glory of Goddess Durga. Goddess Durga is considered as the supreme power and creator of the Universe.

Durga Saptshati Path is recited during Navratri and generally, it is offered as a prayer to Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. It is believed that reciting Durga Saptshati Path at home gives the listener strength and courage to face all difficulties, generates happiness, positivity and wealth around the listener.

Full Durga Saptshati Path contains 700 versus divided into 13 chapters or 13 Adhyays. Durga Saptshati is part of the Markendeya Purana, a holy Hindu scripture written in Sanskrit around the 5th century.
