SFS School Basar-Desalite Connect

It was on a bright day on 7th May 2007 the S.F.S. School Basar began it’s journey. It began with 41 kids in the roll for classes LKG and UKG with minimum conveniences in a temporary building. It was a bold step taken by the North East India province of Missionaries of Francis De Sales congregation to impart quality education to the children of Basar and its neighborhood who speak Galo dialect. The land for the school was identified by Mr. Gumrik Basar and purchased by Fransalian Society Pasighat . The Province identified Fr. Lukose Kavunkal Msfs to begin the project. Fr. Lukose came to the station in the year 2005 and began his work in contacting the people and getting acquaintance with the administration and local people.

The School is situated at Gori II village in a beautiful and serene atmosphere, not far from the Basar town and at the same time not so close to the town to get distracted of town’s daily routine. The school slowly got recognized by the Directorate of Education of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. It has been serving the people of the locality by giving quality education and meaning full formation to their children.
