Ca Mau is a coastal province in the southernmost part of Vietnam, located in the Mekong Delta. Ca Mau is a young land, newly discovered over 300 years. Ca Mau old land was led by Mac Cuu Hoa to explore. After Mac Cuu dedicated the whole land to the Nguy?n, Mac Thien Tu's son Mac Cuu obeyed the Nguyen court order to establish Long Xuyen. Through many administrative changes, until January 1, 1997, Ca Mau province was re-established under the Resolution of the IXth National Assembly at its 10th session. On 6 November 1996 on the adjustment of boundaries Administrative division of Minh Hai province into Ca Mau province and Bac Lieu province.
