This is a smartwatch app (for Android wear 2.0) to detect if a person is fine or not.

This includes capturing potential fall detection and notifying that event to his relative( by a call or SMS). The relative's phone number can be set from Settings after successfully doing a One Time Password validation. Some fall parameters can be set from Settings option, including the stillness duration that may follow after the fall is detected.

Description of Fall Evaluation parameters(editable only if Fall Evaluation is off) is given below:

Min Acceleration: Acceleration threshold(in meter/second square) signifying start of free fall

Max Acceleration: Acceleration threshold(in meter/second square) signifying start of impact.

Stillness period (in minutes): Post-fall stillness can occur after fall is detected for quite some time and that stillness duration can be set if desired.

The behaviour of the fall notification thus can be customized.

Also the smartwatch wearer may be in a distant place from his home location for quite a long time which will generate a notification(call or SMS) to his relative if desired.

Typically, very old persons searching/forgetting their home location and unable to come back home themselves can benefit from this feature, since their relatives can know about the distressed situation. Different parameters for a distant location notification as well as the Home Location can be set from Settings.

Description of Distant detection parameters(editable only if Distant Detection is off) are given below:

Period(in minutes): Value specifying the minimum time the person stays outside his home location

Min Distance(in metre): The minimum distance from Home Location

Home Location: Displays the value existing for the "Home Location" key in settings. The user needs to set his Home Location from a dialog which appears on tapping the Home Location option.The Home Location Dialog always displays the current location of the smartwatch and the user can set that value for the "Home Location" key in the settings by clicking "YES" option.

Alarm Reset(min): If found distant, notification will be sent to relative's mobile. But the notification does not continue to be sent every minute thereafter. It will only be sent again after the value set in Alarm Reset(min) provided that the smartwatch wearer is still distant.

Description of Notification parameters(editable only if Fall Evaluation and Distant Detection are both off) is given below:

Notification Type: It may be call or sms or callsms (both a call and an SMS) or none

(assuming call/sms facility is present in the smartwatch)

Call Number: This is the 10 digit mobile number of the relative to whom the notification is sent. It is set by opening the "Call #" Dialog Box after tapping this setting. Inside that dialog box, put the relative's mobile number in the upper edit field and press "Send". After the one-time password(i.e. a 5 digit code) comes to the relative's phone, grab that code and put it inside the bottom edit field of the dialog and press OK. The Call Number should be set.

Prerequisites for getting the notification are :

1) The Call Number for relative need to be set from Settings->Notification.

2) The Home location for the smartwatch wearer needs to be set from Settings->Distant Params.

3) Moreover, all the permissions needed by the app need to be given. There is an item "Permissions" in the list of items of Settings->Detection screen where a "on" or "off" can be seen depending on the necessary permissions given or not. If not, these permissions need to be given and the main activity of app (that shows the SETTINGS screen) needs to be relaunched once.

4) Set Fall Evaluation and/or "Distant Detection" to "on" state. (Note that Fall Evaluation cannot be turned "on" without the Call Number set and Distant Detection cannot be turned "on" without the Call Number and Home Location set)
