4.4 version overview
Version 4.4 “In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound” runs from July 15 to August 26, 2026, and wraps up the Planarcadia crisis arc with a multi-phase boss fight against Lord Ravager Asat Pramad. The update also hosts Phase 2 of the Fate/stay night collaboration and keeps Himeko Nova available across the entire patch.
Main story and new areas
- New Trailblaze mission: In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound, concluding the Planarcadia storyline and Asat Pramad’s assault.
- Final boss encounter: A three-phase fight against Asat Pramad, with heavy AoE missiles and energy attacks, later repeated as a weekly boss in Echo of War: The Comedy of Doom.
- New exploration zones: Desolate Maw’s Demonhold and Fallen Star’s Cradle, plus associated Planar Ornament domains.sportskeeda
You’ll also be able to farm a new weekly-boss material, High Hopes of the Falsely Enlightened, from the Asat Pramad Echo of War stage.

- Core kit highlights:
Summons Starblazer and creates a territory while on-field, enhancing AoE damage.

Grants damage buffs and recharges a new Assist Skill that Astral Express members can trigger for extra effects.
- Availability: Himeko Nova is available for the entire 4.4 cycle, not just one phase.
Fate/stay night [UBW] characters
- Rin Tohsaka
5★ Quantum, Path of Erudition.
Uses powers she’s encountered across different worlds, focusing on multi-target Quantum damage.
- Gilgamesh
5★ Lightning, Path of Destruction.
Starts combat “bored” and gains Interest as allies act; once it’s high, he unleashes powerful AoE Skill and Ultimate.
- Free collab picks:
Between July 24, 2026 and the end of Version 4.6, you can choose Gilgamesh or Archer for free and receive their upgrade materials.
Spending 200 Star Rail Special Passes during 4.4 grants a free 5★ collab Light Cone, choosing between “I Am as You Behold” or “The Hell Where Ideals Burn.”
