Greetings from Krka

The app Greetings from Krka gives the user an opportunity to discover the history and the beauty of the Krka River, send a historic postcard to friends and family, or find out more about the Krka National Park. Postcards featuring photographs of Krka River from 19. century represent a record of a bygone time, show natural and cultural heritage of the National Park, but also testify to the universal human need to communicate and share a moment.

The app was developed as part of the Krka Now&Then Project. The main aim of the project was to develop an innovative digital product that would combine tourism and cultural heritage to promote the beauties of the Krka River as recorded on old postcards from Croatian heritage institutions. Developed by the National and University Library in Zagreb and powered by the Krka National Park, the app is unique on the market. It combines postcards, photographs, and most importantly - library's expertise in telling a story.
