Palem Srikanth Reddy

Srikanth has an excellent academic track record of securing a first class/distinction all through school, college and university. He also received several prizes and certificates for topping the class or securing a rank. He also received Merit scholarships during several phases of the educations stage in life.

He studied in REC Trichy (now called NIT), was always ranked amongst the top 10 Engineering Colleges in the Country. After his admission to REC, Srikanth consistently secured rank in the top 3 in class in the Branch of Industrial Engineering. He pursued advanced education through an MS (Master of Science) Degree from the most reputed University in the world – Stanford University, California, USA.

As he hails from a family background of highest level of integrity and honesty, pursuing education in such a reputed University was unaffordable to him. Apart from being ranked amongst the world’s top 3 universities, Stanford University is also noted to be very expensive for education. He successfully completed his MS from Stanford under such conditions through financial support received from research assistance ship.

Justice P.Chenna Keshav Reddi is the former Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He hails from Veerapunayunipalli Mandal of Kadapa District in Andhra Pradesh. In honour of his services to the judiciary, the lawyers of kadapa erected his statue in Kadapa Town in 1999.

Coinciding with this event, he set up a trust with a vision to encourage education amongst the poor, rural students in kadapa District. In particular, he wanted to encourage Women’s education.

His son and Trustee, Palem Srikanth Reddy is the Chairman of Four Soft Limited, a Public Listed IT Company. He has added to this vision a new dimension of promoting IT Education in rural schools. This programme enables the economically disadvantaged rural school children to gain access and develop IT skills from a young age. The students coming from such communities have good degrees but fail to secure employment due to lack of desired skills. The employment opportunities in urban India are increasing. Such opportunities are also now spreading to second level cities. There is an acute shortage of skilled, trained and talented manpower in most sectors including retail, infrastructure, IT and Pharma. On the other hand, we have millions of educated but unemployed or under employed youth. This mismatch is caused by lack of various skills but specifically IT skills from a young age.

He is desirous of establishing a trust to carry out activities for the socio economic development of the Rayalaseema region consisting of six districts in the State of Andhra Pradesh viz.,Kurnool,Ananthapur,Kadapa,Chittore,Nellore and Prakasam.

To provide equal opportunities for education to the people from all strata of the society by providing concessions,scholarships and assistance to children from needy and deserving families.
