Live performance musicians, especially novices, can often have trouble starting their musical items at the correct rate. When the performance includes a number of back-to-back items of varying tempos, the musician's perception of the tempo of the next song is influenced by the previous song.

To The Beat! is a simple Android app that allows musicians to create brackets (sets) of songs, and assign each a tempo. When performing, To The Beat! flashes the screen at the correct tempo for the selected song. It also includes next and previous buttons - which show the names of the next and previous songs, respectively - allowing for easy, sequential navigation through each of the sets.

The lists of brackets and songs are easy to manage. An item is created by simply entering it's name (songs also require a tempo), and then adding it to the list. Lists can be easily reordered by simply dragging each list item. In addition, items have a context menu that allow you to edit or delete it.
