Voter ID Card Correction Apply

Maintaining and monitoring elections in the largest democracy in the world is not easy, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) having its task cut out. Ensuring smooth elections is hard, with it even harder for the ECI to ensure that all eligible voters have their names in the voter list. Given the fact that India’s population is over 1.2 billion, there are a sizeable number of voters in the country, which at last count was around 815 million, or more than twice the population of the United States of America. All these numbers mean that there is scope for error, with the most common one being mistakes in the name of a voter in the electoral roll.

This service can be used by a citizen to request for corrections of details in a voter id card. Once the corrections are entered in form 8, the request is forwarded to the Electoral Registration Office (EFO)
