Cave Wallpaper

The spaces where daylight does not disappear are called cavities. The ones in the form of large cavities that occur in the ground due to underground waters are called underground caves. If they are found in water, they are called underwater caves. These are called sinkholes or sinkholes according to their functions and structures.

The first condition for forming a cave is the formation of a crack or crevice in which the waters can move. During the CO2 transfer from water to air, lime deposits on the ceiling create stalactites, and water dripping onto the ground creates stalagmites. The combination of stalactites and stalagmites forms the columns. People living in caves are called troglodytes (primitive people); this word means "those who go into the hole" in Greek.

Primitive people who made cave paintings used caves as shelters to protect themselves from the unfamiliar world and survive. These caves protected them from bad weather and large wild animals.

Due to the geomorphological feature and shape of the cave and the climatological conditions that take place here, the caves are cold in summer and hot in winter.

Doong Son Cave in Vietnam is known as the largest cave in the world. The cave's name is "Hang Son Doong," and it means "Mountain River Cave" in the local language. According to the measurements made, it is 200 meters high and 150 meters wide. Hang Son Doong consists of 200 caves.
