Fisherman Identity App

Fisheries department, Karaikal has issued identity card for every fisherman. It is mandatory to have identity card for fisherman who ventures into sea. On many occasions, fisheries department or coast guards are required to verify the identity of the fisherman on duty either in the shore or even off shore. In this situations, many fisherman do not carry identity card with them or cards are unreadable. This raises many security issues. To overcome this we have arrived a solution to have an mobile app for verification of identity details of the fishermen. Fisherman identity card details are already vailable in digitized form. These digitized datas may be made available in a server. Fisheries or Coast Guard Officials may use the proposed app to fetch identity card details from the server of any fisherman as and when necessary.

The App will have different type of search facility like Namewise, IDCard Numberwise or FCSM Numberwise etc. This app will overcome the non-identification issues faced by the fishermen and the Government officials.

The App is planned to be enabled to work offline also since coastal areas and offshore may have mobile signal problem. Syncing facility will be provided and used where the mobile has full signal so that required data is populated into the mobile’s database for verifying offline
