Vigilante 8 is the first installment of the Vigilante 8 vehicle action series developed by Luxoflux. It was released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, Playstation, and Gameboy Color. It centers around Sid Burn and the development of the Coyotes as they try to destroy oil companies and refineries competing against OMAR, a large oil monopoly that intends to become the richest company in the U.S. Upon hearing this, a lone ranger named Convoy decides to combat this rising force with a team of his own: the Vigilantes. America would never be the same.
