KEKO Wayfinder

KEKO Wayfinder is an experience driven indoor navigation app that uses real-time building data to recommend the optimal rooms and workspaces for your needs. Through sensors in the building, the app monitors occupancy, air quality and noise level data across theMaria01 Startup Campus. The app utilizes location information to display your real-time position. In addition to GPS data, the application utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy beacons and the phone's internal sensors (e.g. accelerometer) for calculating your current location. Indoor position covers main public areas at the Maria01 startup campus.

KEKO Wayfinder is being developed in the KEKO Ecosystem in collaboration with Proximi.io and UnSeen Technologies. The KEKO ecosystem was founded by Nokia, Kone, YIT, Caverion, Halton, VTT and Netox with the support of Business Finland. It is a research and innovation project that brings together major players and SME's to build a dynamic ecosystem around a smart building platform.

Proximi.io is the first unified positioning platform. Their versatile technology is used in locating and guiding people indoors and outdoors in shopping malls, amusement parks, office buildings, museums and across cities. The company was founded in 2014, and has won numerous awards, including the section as one of the most promising European IoT startups.
