The rules to the original game mode are very simple. Press the buttons on the number grid in order to reduce the target number to zero. If you go below zero, the game is over.

The rules to the time trial game mode are a little bit more complicated. You have a fixed set of time to score as many points as you can by reducing the target number to zero. If the target number goes below zero you will lose valuable points.
