The Surah al-Mulk is a Makki Surah, which means that the Surah was revealed in the period prior to the migration to Medina. Regarding the content of the Surah al-Mulk, the Surah speaks of the greatness of Allah Almighty with examples from the vast universe that is a creation of Him. Then the Surah speaks of the mighty one of Allah Almighty and threatens the disbelievers because of the punishment they will receive in the next life.
