Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi (1 Jumada al-Awwal 1387 AH / 7 August 1967), is an imam and reciter of the Qur’an from the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia.

His study

He studied in the city of Dammam at all levels of education, and participated in summer centers, Holy Qur’an memorization circles, and libraries, which in turn developed skills among young people. Among the most famous skills that these charitable groups nurtured was the talent for reading and singing. He began his singing career in the year 1405 AH, and he has tapes of the first and second anthems of Dammam, and among his most famous anthems are (We have owned this world for centuries) and (Ghurabaa).

He graduated from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Al-Ahsa (Faculty of Sharia, specializing in Fundamentals of Religion) in 1410 AH. In the year 1410 AH, he completed memorizing the entire Qur’an.

The Qur’an and Imamate

He was influenced by the recitation of Sheikh Marwan bin Abdul Rahman Al-Qadri, the imam and preacher of Sheikh Ali Al-Majdouie Mosque in the Al-Badia neighborhood in the city of Dammam. In the year 1411 AH, he led the people in Tarawih prayers, which was the beginning of his launch into the world of recitation, and his first publication was published containing Surahs Al-Ahzab and Al-Zumar. The Sheikh obtained the authorization of the chain of transmission based on the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim in the year 1417 AH.

He is the imam of the Kano Mosque in general and has led in various mosques in the Arab Gulf countries and the world as well, such as Austria, America and Britain. He also prayed as an imam in Bahrain and was invited to pray in the Grand Mosque in Kuwait, but circumstances prevented him. Without that, in the year 1430 AH, a royal decree was issued appointing him as a participating imam in Tarawih prayers in the Prophet’s Mosque.
