Digital Financial Literacy

In November 8, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic decision by announcing that the high-denomination notes (Rs 500 and Rs 1,000) then in circulation would cease to be legal tender.

The Government of India has constituted a National level Committee with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh as its Convener and 12 members, which includes 5 Chief Ministers of other states, to outline measures for rapid expansion and adoption of digital payments, digital financial literacy among other objectives of studying the best practices and removing bottlenecks.
