EarSaver is an easy-to-use smartphone application for deep auditory relaxation which sets you into a soothing virtual natural acoustic environment. It helps to calm down, reduce stress, and even to fall asleep. Listening to EarSaver eases the tension caused by loads of industrial acoustic pollution which is practically omnipresent in the modern world.

EarSaver contributes substantially to your relaxation by replacing the usual unpleasant auditory perceptions almost every modern human being is constantly immersed in by a soothing audio environment. You may choose from several soundscape scenarios (more are planned in the updates to come) recorded in natural preserve areas in the Czech Republic.

The instantly evolving live audio environment, the soundscape, is generated by the EarSaver playback engine in real-time according to a sophisticated stochastic model using top quality natural sounds recorded by acoustics experts using superior audio equipment together with their unique experience and knowledge. The recorded material was carefully digitally processed so that your listening experience is practically indistinguishable from idyllic reality.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

(i) Use EarSaver in your smartphone with a pair of high-quality headphones or earphones with an adequate insulation capability so that the outer noises are blocked out entirely or at least considerably (the best outer noise insulation is achieved with ANC headphones or in-ear monitors). Sit or lie down comfortably and let yourself be dragged into a relaxing soundscape. However, be very careful with this use case and never take part in the traffic, never operate machines, nor do any similar activities that require your full attention and non-desensitized hearing!

(ii) Use the smartphone with EarSaver as a signal source for your home or office audio chain and turn your home or workplace into a pleasurable spot with singing birds, bubbling water, or with just something else depending on the picked scenario.

DECLARATION

The EarSaver software does not generate any psychoactive sonic component. The soundscapes are generated solely from recorded natural sounds. The authors tested the software carefully and are not aware of any dangers induced by using it. However, some individuals may be more prone to falling asleep or losing concentration while listening to EarSaver. The software was not tested by users suffering from epilepsy and thus the effects on such individuals remain unknown.
