Easy DIY Scrabble Tile Craft

Scrabble tile crafting this weekend by making some coasters. It was a fun and relatively easy project; we enjoyed thinking of 4-letter words to describe various drinks. They have already made a home on my livingroom side table.

- some scrabble tiles, the only necessary materials are cork and E6000 glue. My cork still had a bit of roll to it so I used my glassybaby as weights in the corners. The E6000 glue works well because it dries fast and is strong. Plus it will attach to almost anything.

- We used the bottom edge as a guide to make sure my coasters stayed in line. Once the glue has dried, use an X-ACTO knife to cut the cork. Make sure to use multiple light cuts as opposed to a single hard-pressure cut because it will break the cork instead of cut it.

An optional step is to coat the top with mod podge. This will help seal the top of the tiles but isn’t necessary.

Once the coasters are finished, make yourself a drink and put your feet up to enjoy your hard work!
