Gunpla stands for "Gundam Plastic Model Kit", or the rough term of the gundam plastic kit model. The Gundam itself (complete: Mobile Suit Gundam) is a Japanese manga and anime series with the theme of mecha. That is a real robot, not a super robot that makes less sense.

When we buy the kit model we have to assemble it from scratch, starting from small parts until formed into a mini mobile suite, herein lies the keseruannya. There are various sizes, and types (commonly called grade) on the gunpla, usually classified by scale, level of assemble complexity, and details of its gunpla.

In the early days of the emergence of gunpla, the way the assembly uses glue, paint etc., but because of the increasingly modern era, in the 1990s the assembly method did not need to use glue again, this new assembly system many people call it with "snapfit"
