Overview of Update 1.5.1
FC 26 Update 1.5.1 is now live on all major platforms and arrives as a relatively small but important follow‑up to the larger gameplay‑oriented 1.5.0 title update. Instead of sweeping gameplay changes, this patch concentrates on bug fixes, UI polish, and mode‑specific frustrations that players have been reporting since launch.
Ultimate Team changes
Ultimate Team’s single direct fix tackles an annoyance in squad building and SBCs. When you add or swap player items into a Squad or SBC, the position filter now correctly respects the highlighted position instead of defaulting to “Any,” making it easier to quickly find the right players without constantly re‑setting filters.
Career Mode fixes and polish
Career Mode is the main focus of 1.5.1, with both new tweaks and bug fixes. EA has updated social media posts, adjusted the injury duration selection menu, and improved how qualification zones are highlighted in competition standings within Deeper Sim so promotion, relegation, and continental spots are clearer at a glance.
On the bug‑fix side, switching to the Position tab in Development Plans no longer causes Role Growth to disappear, overlapping text issues have been resolved, and the “same boots for everyone” visual glitch in Manager Live matches has been fixed. The patch also corrects challenges where certain leagues were incorrectly shown as unavailable when replacing teams and fixes cases where players appeared out of position on the match preview screen despite being correctly set up in your tactics.
Clubs and CAM ratings
In Clubs, the update continues EA’s recent efforts to normalize how different positions are rated. Match Rating calculations for CAMs have been adjusted again to prevent them from receiving unintentionally inflated ratings compared with teammates in similar roles, which should make post‑match stats, progression, and performance comparisons feel fairer in team play.
General visual and presentation updates
Beyond specific modes, Update 1.5.1 brings another round of presentation polish across the game. EA has refreshed a wide range of visual assets, including crests, banners, scarves, flags, scenes, camera angles, overlays, celebrations, text, hairstyles, ad boards, and cinematics, tightening up authenticity and variety in broadcast and stadium presentation without altering core gameplay.
