After matriculating he joined the South African Air Force to study Photography and Aerial Reconnaissance in Pretoria. After his stint in the air force he furthered his studies in the hospitality industry and worked in restaurants & in the catering field.
From Pretoria in 1992 he moved to Uvongo to continue his adventures life on the coast which led him to complete his pilots licence for his aerial photography work.
Rudi's love for travelling in beautiful Southern Africa led him to study Tourism in 1994 and at the dawn of the new South Africa works as a freelance National Tourist Guide for numerous operations, like an adventure train operator and national tailor made small groups and large groups, taking him throughout South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland and Lesotho.
Rudi loves the multi cultural and beautiful Southern Africa and takes great joy in educating and showing visitors the diverse Southern Africa.
He has a keen eye for photography and loves beating about the bush in his 1959 Willys CJ5 Jeep
