The Walnut Tree offers luxury Bed and Breakfast accommodation, and high quality food and drink all day. On the edge of Mere in Wiltshire, 5 minutes from the new Hillbrush visitor centre, near Stourhead, Gold Hill, Shaftesbury, Gillingham, Wincanton, Warminster and Longleat Safari Park, House and Center Parcs.

Run as a free house by your experienced hosts Mark and Samantha Cassidy, the pub, restaurant and rooms, really does have something to offer for everyone.

Open daily for breakfast from 8am. We are proud to serve our finest Wiltshire breakfasts, locally sourced from our local suppliers. We have an adjoining play park so the kids can enjoy themselves whilst our chefs prepare your breakfast and you have the choice of dining inside or outside on our heated and covered al fresco dining area. Dogs are also welcome in this area. If you’re looking for a breakfast venue before a shoot or other activity, early breakfast s can be served by prior arrangement.

Only a couple of minutes from the A303 and just 5 minutes by car to the famous ornamental gardens and house at Stourhead, The Walnut Tree Inn makes an ideal stopping off place on journeys to and from the West country.

Just 15 minutes by car to the famous Longleat Safari Park and House, and the Centerparcs resort, we are open every day to welcome guests to this beautiful part of the south west whether living here, staying on holiday or just passing through for an hour or two.
