Fernando Alonso Díaz (familiarly called Nando, born in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, July 29, 1981) is a Formula One driver from Spain. He became the youngest world champion in F1 history to win the title in 2005 at the age of 24 and 59 days, breaking the 33-year-old record of 25-year-old Emerson Fittipaldi and 273 days while winning the world title in the 1972 season. Lewis Hamilton in the 2008 season and then solved again by Sebastian Vettel in the 2010 season. Alonso also had become the youngest rider ever to win a grand prix and won pole position, respectively in the 2003 Hungary GP series and the 2003 Malaysian GP, before being solved by Sebastian Vettel at the Italian GP 2008. He is also the first F1 world champion from Spain.
