Go-Green Dharmapuri

Highlights of the Project:

i) The project will be steered by the District Environmental Engineer with active support from the District Collector and other Government departments in the district

ii) During 2020-2021, it is proposed to take up supply of 25000 seedlings.

iii) During this year, it will cover Dharmapuri municipal area and the panchayats in Dharmapuri taluks of Dharmapuri district.

iv) The seedlings will be distributed at the site of planting during October and November 2020, provided the interested individuals/organisations are keeping the pits ready for planting

v) Each individual/organisation will be supplied with a maximum of 5 seedlings

vi) Interested NGOs/Eco-club coordinators/Teachers/Volunteers/other organisations will be encouraged to participate in the programme by way of sponsoring seedlings or participating in the activities

vii) A mobile app and a website are under development for implementing the project

viii) The project will be launched on the 2nd October 2020, the Gandhi Jayanthi day and the day of Dharmapuri district’s formation
