HP State Pharmacy Council

Himachal Pradesh state Pharmacy council (HPSPC) is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh under the provision of the pharmacy act of 1948.

HPSPC is committed to provide preventive, promotive, curative health services to the people of state. In Himachal Pradesh medical practitioners are over burden with large number of patients and they do not have the sufficient time to counsel the patient for rational use of drugs. Due to which severe drug reactions or adverse events may take place.

Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council felt the urgent need to review the role of pharmacist in providing better healthcare in rural areas of Himachal Pradesh, where there is scarcity of medical practitioners. In that regard, Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council has set the mission and vision of Drug Information Center (DIC).
