PenguIN Remote VLC

Penguin Remote VLC is a free application which allows you to remotely control your computer using your Android device and the network via a remote keyboard and mouse. In addition, this version allows you to remotely control popular VLC program used to play media files.

"Penguin Remote.exe" server program (Required for proper work of the application!) for the computer, "vlcrc" and "VLC - Keyboard shortcuts.txt" files can be found at:

Installation:

1. Install the Penguin Remote application on your Android device.

2. Turn on the "Penguin Remote.exe" on your computer and click "Connect".

3. In the application, enter the IP address of the computer which is displayed in the program and click "Connect".

For VLC control:

Set the keyboard shortcuts in the VLC program according to a list given in the "VLC - Keyboard shortcuts.txt" file OR replace the "vlcrc" file which define keyboard shortcuts used by the VLC program. The “vlcrc” file is located in: “C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\vlc” where “YourUserName” is your user name in system (AppData directory may be hidden).

! If the method of substitution "vlcrc" file does not work, change the keyboard shortcuts in the VLC program settings manually according to the file "VLC - Keyboard shortcuts.txt".

Instalacja:

1. Zainstaluj aplikację PenguIN Remote na swoim urządzeniu z systemem Android.

2. Włącz program „PenguIN Remote.exe” na swoim komputerze i kliknij „Połącz”.

3. W aplikacji wprowadź numer IP komputera wyświetlony w programie i kliknij „Połącz”.

Do kontroli programu VLC:

4. Ustaw skróty klawiszowe w programie VLC zgodnie ze spisem zamieszczonym w pliku „VLC – Skróty klawiszowe” lub podmień plik „vlcrc” w którym zdefiniowane są skróty klawiszowe używane przez program VLC.
