The school of Islamic Sufism dates back 1400 years to the time of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and the Suffa institution. The Noorbakhshi Sufi path is the continuity of the mainstream Sufi order known as Maroofiya, Junediyeh, Suherverdiyeh, Kubraviyeh, Hamdaniyeh, and then Noorbakhshiyeh generally known as the Golden Chain or Silsila-tu-Zahab.
