Surah Yusuf

Surah Yusuf (سورة يوسف) is the 12th Surah of the Holy Quran and has 111 verses. It is said to have been revealed in a single sitting, altogether, being unique in this respect.. The Surah tells the story of Hazrat Yusuf and directs us to follow the right path.

Surat Yusuf: Yusuf is a Meccan surah that was revealed before the migration of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace to Medina. The fifty-third, according to Badr al-Din al-Zarkashi, was revealed after Surat Hud and before Surat Al-Hijr, Surat Yusuf was called by this name because it dealt with the story of the Prophet of God Yusuf, peace be upon him. From his brothers, since he was placed in the well and separated from his family and parents and sold as a child, to his imprisonment, and the women conspired against him, then he took over the treasuries of Egypt, as all these events were recited in succession with their scenes and chapters.
