Talqeen & Salaat-ul-Mayyit

Talqeen is both an Android app and a website developed by NUQTA Academy to enable the user to learn the recitation and meaning of Talqeen and Salaat-ul-Mayyit.

Talqeen

In Arabic, Talqeen means ‘reminding’. When a person passes away, it is recommended to recite Talqeen just before the body is lowered into the grave to remind them of the foundations of their faith. Since the name of the Mayyit is recited at various points during Talqeen, this app enables the user to input a name of their choice.

Salaat-ul-Mayyit

This is a prayer that must be performed for a person who has passed away. It is performed after ghusl and before burial.

Features of this app include:

• Arabic script and recitation of Talqeen and Salaat-ul-Mayyit for men and women.

• Transliteration and English translation for both for men and women.
