Tujifunze App

Tujifunze Android application is a part of Tujifunze Learning Management System (LMS)

developed by The University of Dodoma (UDOM), Tanzania (www.udom.ac.tz) under the

sponsorship of SPIDER, Sweden. The project started in 2017. Since then, several versions of

Tujifunze LMS were developed, tested and used in more than six schools in Tanzania. The

current version of LMS aims at supporting distance learning in Tanzania under the project titled

Supporting Distance Learning in Tanzania through Inclusive Open Access Multimedia Lessons

(IOAMLs). The project is currently being implemented by UDOM under project manager Dr.

Placidius M. Ndibalema. The current version of LMS enables a registered student to access

developed school-based lesson contents uploaded into the Tujifunze LMS database. All

developed lesson contents follow the Tanzania Primary school curriculum. They are, therefore,

age appropriate. Some of these lesson contents are shared through YouTube Tujifunze official

channel. The students are registered by their parents or teachers. Students’ information is kept

secret and is used for the purpose of accessing lesson contents only. More information can be
