The majority of jurists believe that the Tarawih prayer is performed two rak'ahs by two rak'ahs; When narrated by Ibn Omar - may God be pleased with him - on the authority of the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - that he said: (The night prayer is two by two), and they differed in the permissibility of its prayers without peace between every two rak’ahs; So the Hanafis went to the permissibility of praying Taraweeh in full with one delivery, while the Shaafa’is saw the invalidity of the prayer of those who prayed four rak’ahs with one delivery if he did that deliberately, and the Hanbalis also considered that whoever rose after the second rak’ah should return to greet, if he did not do his prayer invalidated, and the Malikis see He delegates peace to the worshiper after every two rak'ahs, and he hates peace after every four rak'ahs, just as it is prescribed for the imam to sit for a break after every four rak'ahs of them; To allow people to drink water, or something else, and it is permissible for them to read Surat Al-Ikhlas three times at each break.
