The People's Daily was founded on July 18, 1933 and is the oldest existing Chinese daily newspaper in Macau. The Portuguese version of a Chinese newspaper was first established in 1982, and the Zhuhai Special Economic Zone edition was added in 1984, which was successively distributed to Zhuhai, Zhongshan and other places. In 1996, it was approved by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan, China for public distribution in Taiwan, China.
