Balloon Decoration Designs

Some people may not want to admit it, but balloons can indeed liven up a party. And what better way to celebrate someone's birthday than to have balloons everywhere? Usually, many people skip this festive decoration, thinking that balloons can be an unnecessary burden. But the truth is: balloons are so cheap, and you can give this away as a party of favors afterwards. If you want to save more money, you may want to buy party balloons from your local toy store, some threads and stick balloons from craft stores and make your own decorations.

Here are some basic tips on decorating the balloons you can try.

1: Cluster. As the name suggests, these balloons are grouped in uniform clusters. This is especially great if you have a themed colored party. Even a small group of 3 balloons with 2 different colors (eg 2 blues and 1 white, or vice versa) can draw the eye. Make sure that although the cluster is indeed uniform in number, size and shape to make it more interesting.

2: decorating the ceiling. This would be a great decorating idea for an indoor party. Instead of just hanging the ribbon festoons, you can tape some balloons on the ceiling as well. You can go crazy with color if you want.

A great alternative to this would be the balloon cloud. You can make this by tying the two ends of the balloon together. Interlace that with a pair of balloons tied up. Securely attach a long thread from the ceiling and weave the thread between the knots of the balloon. You can gradually add more balloons tied to the thread until you have a cloud-like effect.

3: Table setting or centerpieces. Think of it as creating a flower arrangement, only this time you are using a balloon of different size and shape. The wonderful thing about this is that you can use as many colors as you want. For this you will need a safe and heavy base (small flowerpots with base Styrofoam will do,) stick balloons, ribbons, clear masking tape, threads and of course, actual balloons. Simply prepare the balloon and gradually add this to the sticker balloon that must be firmly attached to the base. Add a ribbon when you're done.
