Cheery or CheerApp is a platform designed for anyone who is either having a bad day, feeling sad or going through some stuff. Many are aware of the need to stay healthy, but oftentimes we focus on the physical, and neglect our mental health.

Cheery therefore seeks to provide an online environment where people can connect, interact and share positivity. A platform where people can simply talk, listen and more importantly, spread love to those that need it. A place where we can simply let down our guard, be vulnerable and fully human without having to worry about image, facades or trends.

We intend to do this by providing the following features:

I.) a Public forum where users can share messages, images and text.

II.)  Free Resources which users can download for self improvement, development and coping with different life situations. These include:

• stress in everyday life

• workplace harassment

• loneliness

• death of a loved one

• financial strain and pressures

• sudden unemployment

• transitions in life

• parenting a problem adolescent

• parenting step children

• your child being bullied

• relationship breakdown

III.) Private messaging to allow individuals to make personal connections, build friendships and provide support

IV.) An inspiration station to help motivate, inspire, cheer up and give you a good laugh
