Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Dr. Jekyll And Mr Hyde as a "chilling shocker." He burned the draft and later rewrote it as the complex tale it is today. Anticipating modern psychology (first published in 1866), Jekyll And Hyde is a brilliantly original study of man's dual nature and an immortal tale of suspense and terror.
