Farm Ranch Simulator:Tips

Welcome to a guide for Fram Ranch Simulator.

With pan in place grab one piece of Pork, Beef or chicken (cannot use Wild Meat) and point to grinder then hit E to add meat to grinder, then turn the crank to grind or Hit E one more time to start grinding if electric.

For sausage you can also add milk by holding the milk jug and pointing at pan. (I save milk for cheese until I have too much milk)

Now pick up the cooking pan (left mouse button) and point at the sausage maker and hit E to add the contents from the cooking pan into the sausage maker.

For the grinder and sausage maker, I started out with the manual ones to start (just because of cost) then when I could afford the electric I got those. The electric ones make the task easier. (the manual ones you need to spin the crank, kind of like the well for water but not as hard as the well is to spin.

NOTE: you use a bucket to milk the cows, (get the bigger metal one and it will hold 7 units of milk from each cow. The milk jug will hold 42 units total). Once you milk a cow pour the bucket into the milk jug (tall milk container in store). You can pickup milk jug and point to either the pan with ground meat or an empty pan to get the option to add milk. Sausage uses 2 milk units and cheese uses 7 units.

You can add extra storage space to the UTV….

Start by adding planks to the outer edges of rack, front of plank goes on the front rack bar….

The area that has both a bear and deer you will not find the deer at times, this would be because it was killed by the bear. I have come across the bear chasing the deer here as well.

You may notice the first area of the black route has more little dots. The is because I will go there if I have time (before dark) after return home and on first day I go to this spot and 2nd spot for meat before going to gas station on tutorial.

Pigs and Cows can live in the barn or – like the chickens – free range in player-made corrals.

All animals will attempt to escape any open door whether this be in the barn (even in the barn cells) or in the coop. They will however wander back to get food and water from wherever you have it placed.

All animals do go to sleep between about 21:00 and 8:00. During this time, pigs and cows can be woken up using the manage tool but chickens will fall asleep again if you put them down.

Chickens are available from the General Store for purchased and can be placed into any vehicle to be transported to your ranch. Hens are $50 each and Roosters are $250 each.

The hens are available in three colors and chicks will be the same color as the mother that laid the egg.

When kept in mixed company, roosters will fertilize an egg left by the hens at around 10:00am-10:30am. This is typically one egg per rooster.

All hens will lay a single egg each in the afternoon between 16:00-16:30. These eggs can be gathered individually by hand or with the egg basket which you can buy from the General Store for $10.

These wheat bags can be placed into a trough or spread by pressing E on the bag when it is placed on the ground. Your chickens will also need water either placed into a trough or out of a filled bucket. (Buckets could be either wood or steel, both purchased at the General Store for $8 each.)

Chickens can be killed using the handgun or the stunner which is available at the General Store for $insert price. They can then be skilled and produce chicken or rooster meat. This meat can be sold or made into meatballs or sausage.

The eggs are placed in one of four slots and when the ovoscope is turned on, the egg will illuminate which will allow you to see if there is a dark spot on the egg with veining around it.

One other trick to tell if an egg is fertilized is to pick it up and wait for the mother to attack you. I am still unsure if you could die from a chicken .
