Lalita Sahasranama is presented in the english script. Lalita Sahasranama is a text from Brahmanda Purana (the making / history of the universe). At the request of Agasthya rishi, Hayagreeva is said to have taught him the thousand holiest names of Lalita(goddess Shakti, the divine mother). Hayagreeva is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu with the head of a horse who is believed to be the storehouse of knowledge.

Lalita Sahasranama contains a thousand names of the mother goddess Lalita. The names are organized in a stotras. It is the only sahasranama that does not repeat a single name.
