OPTIRESOURCE

OPTIRESOURCE is a software package developed by DAIMLER AG to present and to perform comparative analyses of energy conversion chains including fuel supply and consumption data for compact passenger cars (2020+).

The software allows the creation of various expedient combinations of energy sources, fuels and powertrains.

Based on studies for Well-to-Wheel analyses from the energy source to the powered wheel, the expected fuel consumption and the corresponding greenhause gas emissions can be determined.

The result of the calculation is presented as a comparison between a current gasoline-fueled compact car and the accomplished selection.

Scientific background of this software is the ""Well-to-Wheels analysis of future automotive fuels and powertrains in the European context, version 4a"", published by CONCAWE, EUCAR and JRC in March 2014.
