Government of Andhra Pradesh has established the “Department of Gram Volunteers/Ward Volunteers and Village Secretariat/Ward Secretariats” with a aim to deliver all welfare schemes and services to the citizens at their door steps in a transparent and corruption free manner.

Objectives of Inspections of Village / Ward Secretariats :

1. Infrastructure facilities.

2. Display of Posters supplied by the department.

3. Display of Welfare calendar.

4. Delivery of services within SLA.

5. Delivery of 4 important services within SLA.

6. Availability of Hard ware and its functioning.

7. Attendance of functionaries.

8. Attendance of Volunteers.

9. Implementation of Welfare schemes (Pensions, Rice cards, Argyoa Sri cards, Jagananna Thode, YSR Bima etc.,)

10. Maintenance of Registers and Records.

11. Discharge of functions by the functionaries as per the calendar of activities assigned by the Department.

12. Collection and remittance of service charges, statutory charges and RBK amounts etc.,
